Responsibilities:

WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ROLE?

At our Head Office based in downtown Vancouver BC, The Label QC Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of label designs with regulatory standards and brand guidelines. Additionally, this role will oversee a support team to maintain workflow efficiency and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Let’s get into the detail. This role will:

  • Conduct thorough quality control checks on label designs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve artwork proofs for labels, ensuring they meet brand guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, regulatory affairs, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of label design projects.
  • Manage and mentor a support team responsible for administrative and operational tasks related to label design quality control.
  • Develop and implement QC processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in label design approvals.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of label designs.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to label design and incorporate changes into QC processes.
  • Assist with the label review process, including developing initial label proforma, and coordinating tasks with the marketing department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Quality Assurance, Technical Writing) or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards) is a plus.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience working with CFIA, Health Canada, US FDA and other foreign regulatory bodies
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience in a cGMP regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with a strong multi-tasking propensity.
  • Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) or quality management systems (QMS).
  • Proficiency using the Asana platform for project management
  • Proven experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or food and beverage.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to label design and packaging.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in label designs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in managing or leading a team is preferred
