Description:

SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Replenishment Analyst is to assure that stores are always replenished and have an in-stock position with minimal waste. This will be accomplished by using system tools that assess sales trends, promotional requirements, and current supply and demand vs forecast. These tools will also be used to provide requirements for plant production. The incumbent will focus on reviewing data from SAP, EXE and BW systems and is accountable for completion of all replenishment department reports, analyzing and monitoring purchases, inventory, and service level.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post Secondary education in Supply Chain, Retail Management, Business or industry experience and knowledge
  • 1–3 years previous replenishment work, preferably in grocery retail
  • Knowledge of perishable food products replenishment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify problems and draw upon a range of choices to formulate solutions
  • Knowledge in inventory and supply chain concepts
  • Superior time management, priority management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of SAP – Replenishment module and BW is a definite asset
  • Excellent skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands, schedules, and working under the challenge of tight timelines
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Self-motivated with the ability to possess a great sense of urgency

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare purchase orders and liaise with stores ensuring department objectives including service level, waste reduction and product quality are met
  • Practices “just in time” inventory to maximize freshness and minimize shrink and waste
  • Regularly liaise with stores to ensure review of merchandising plans, inventory levels, and product quality
  • Maintain ordering criteria such as consumption, MRP and forecasting profiles in SAP
  • Analyze data from SAP, EXE, and BW systems to maximize sales, inventory turns and gross margin
  • Liaise with merchandising team ensuring appropriate responses to changing market conditions and promotional plans are executed appropriately
  • Keep informed with regards to supply market conditions, market opportunities and competitor activities
  • Ensures that every store requirement is fulfilled daily with the freshest and highest quality product being procured
  • Identifies potential overstock situations proactively
  • Ensuring every effort is made to ship product to stores with regular vendor communication, including contingency deliveries if necessary
  • Works with Inventory Managers to continually improve the logistics process to reduce distribution costs and/or inventory levels
