Wesco Anixter have an outstanding career opportunity for a highly motivated and hands-on Internal Business Development Manager supporting our security branches. This role is based from our branch in Fyshwick.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Competent and confident in the technical aspect of various products, such as CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarms and VMS platforms
  • IT knowledge relevant to the security industry is desirable
  • Proven record in sales, negotiation and business development
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • A can-do attitude with a focus on customers first
  • Capable of presenting at a high level to potential clients and end usersTechnical acumen to potentially train staff and customers

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced technical Internal Business Development Manager to work in the ACT region.
Reporting to the State Manager, your role will involve managing an existing portfolio of accounts whilst developing new accounts and seeking opportunities for new business.
Your achievements will be rewarded with significant on-going development opportunities and a competitive remuneration package including achievable bonuses.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This Internal BDM role will focus on:

  • Maintaining & building relationships with established accounts in an assigned territory/market segment to generate new business
  • Analysing product suitability for relevant projects and creating detailed product lists from project specifications
  • Analysing the territory/market’s potential and determining the value of existing and prospective customers
  • Support and implement national sales initiatives and programs where required
  • Providing accurate system design, written quotations, and proposals.
  • Conducting products demonstrations and presentations for existing and prospective customers and consultants.
  • Systematically recording activities in CRM applicationSupplying management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
