Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the General Manager you will be in an autonomous role responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic management of the business.
With full P&L accountability, strong financial acumen is an essential part of this role as we want you to manage this business as though it were your own with passion and purpose.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Working in partnership with a senior management team to provide an outstanding hospitality experience to all customers
  • Managing all expected reporting, sales and expenses
  • Reviewing performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement to identify any areas of improvement or opportunity
  • Overseeing all day-to-day operations including rostering, cash and stock handling, sales targets and overall restaurant presentation
  • Leading and developing staff using a hands-on management approach
  • Developing and fostering a strong rapport with all stakeholders such as staff, suppliers and customers

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and build an efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer focus and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and possess a strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to work a range of rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays (we are closed Christmas Day)
  • Staff management experience such as hiring, training and rostering
  • Experience with stock control and ordering
  • Strong knowledge in health and safety systems
  • Excellent business & financial acumen
  • Hold a current NSW RSA
    We are looking for someone who has an owner’s mentality and is in this for the long term.
