About the position
The Retail Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in shaping and executing the retail marketing strategy to boost brand visibility, enhance the athlete experience, and drive sales across digital and physical retail platforms. Collaborating closely with the sales, content, and creative teams, this position is pivotal in developing and implementing innovative strategies that resonate with customers. The Retail Marketing Manager is also responsible for the daily execution of these strategies, ensuring efficient workflows that empower the marketing team to create impactful content and the sales team to effectively communicate it. This role reports directly to the Head of Marketing Operations.

Job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Brand, marketing and sales teams to design comprehensive global retail marketing plans that align with Maurten’s marketing vision and objectives.
  • Ensure that Maurten’s brand message, values, and visual identity are consistently represented across all retail outlets.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights and competitor activities to identify opportunities and make informed strategic decisions that propel our brand forward
  • Monitor sales data and marketing performance to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and campaigns.
  • Lead the development of POS materials to create unique Maurten in-store and digital customer experiences - in alignment with the overall marketing strategies.
  • Foresee potential blockers and find proper solutions to mitigate or eliminate them so that they don’t impede project’s success.
  • Develop and manage the retail marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to the various initiatives.
  • Oversee multiple campaigns simultaneously, applying a deep understanding of each to ensure effective execution and making adjustments as needed to optimize results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, agencies and other stakeholders.

As the Retail Marketing Manager at Maurten, you should be motivated by curiosity and excel in innovative thinking and creativity. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in both digital and physical retail marketing, coupled with a strong team-oriented mindset and analytical thinking.

The right candidate would also meet the following requirements:

  • +4 years’ experience in a retail-marketing-related role.
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Used to critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Understanding of E-Commerce landscape
  • Fluent in English
  • Based in Gothenburg
