MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
  • Valid Driver’s License
    Preferred Qualifications: At least a four-year degree in Human Services or Behavioral Sciences field of study, preferred degrees as listed below:Bachelor’s in social work, Bachelor’s in psychology, Bachelor’s in Sociology, Master’s in social work, Master’s in professional counseling, Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling, Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Behaviors Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) professional

  • Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver’s license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF. Must maintain security clearance throughout employment.

This position is part of the Safety and Thriving Families team within Prevention and Protection Services (PPS). The role of this position will be to plan, organize, and direct the PPS Policy Change Management Process through the policy workgroup. They will facilitate regularly occurring meetings and work with PPS leadership to finalize policies. This position will also be critical in helping support the continued aligning of the Kansas Practice Model within Assessment and Prevention through support and collaboration with PPS Administration and regions. This position allows for identifying opportunities for improvement and presenting possible solutions.
