MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & experience
- 3 -5 Years’ sound experience in a business analytical role
- Very Strong MS Office tools skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
- Knowledge of SQL, VBA and Business Intelligence applications (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and coding.
- Tertiary Qualification (Commercial, Business, Marketing, Data Science) preferred
Responsibilities:
ROLE PURPOSE
Responsible for the reporting and analysis of the trading / sales activities for South Africa, identifying key areas of opportunities and coordinating the updates of the commercial reporting database, tools and presentations; in full alignment with Global/Regional scorecards and tools. Promotes quality data, and on time delivery of analysis, presentations and scorecards to senior management, sales management and sales executives, and the region. The incumbent will support and promote commercial strategies to meet the company’s profit and growth objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To integrate into the Sub-Saharan Africa business reporting systems, by promoting, coordinating, and supporting data maintenance and updates, by implementing systems to support, monitor and improve data quality maintenance in systems that feed sales management systems such as Comet.
- The incumbent is responsible for the generation of reporting from Global/Regional Tools and provide meaningful analysis of opportunities and gaps to senior management and the sales team as a whole.
- The incumbent will produce daily, weekly, and monthly business forecasts to a high degree of accuracy to allow for informed decision making. The incumbent will be required to set sales targets aligned to the country budget figures every quarter, as well as report on performance against these targets on a monthly basis for commission pay-out purposes
- Analysis will include key performance indicators such as Revenue, Weight, and Shipment growth by product; gap analysis by customers, customer acquisition, retention and development; sales effectiveness and efficiency (Sales activity); ad hoc analysis as required, and monitoring performance of Sales Campaigns as directed by Global/Region.
- The incumbent will be the expert and owner of the commercial databases, scorecards, and analysis tools.
- Will be responsible to implement, facilitate, execute, or coordinate any update or new database or analysis tool that may present itself within the scope of the incumbent’s responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain reporting that provides a basis for competitor analysis.
- Undertake any project or analysis that might be required within the scope of the incumbent’s responsibility.
