We are looking for a Sales Engineer to provide a variety of pump and Mechanical seals products and services to customers both directly and through the efficient management of a network of distributors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Very good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- 4+ years of experience in sales and management of agents and distributors
- Fluent English
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Technical knowledge of pumps and mechanical seals
- Knowledge on EPC contractors and Mining industries in South Africa
Responsibilities:
- To respect the Flowserve code of conduct
- To serve customers and distributors with Flowserve pumps, mechanical seals (pump, mixer & compressor seals), parts and services
- To sell Pumps, Mechanical Seals, Parts and Services customers from the most appropriate Flowserve operation
- To achieve approved booking plan
- To identify, appoint and Manage distributors if and where required and in accordance with company policy
- To provide high level of customer satisfaction and work to improve customer relations
- To provide technical expertise to customers and distributors
- To liaise and drive internal resources (Customer Service Order Acquisition, Technical Services, Parts Group, Operations, etc.) to satisfy customer requests
- To propose and challenge with responsibility new potential accounts to target
- To generate tailor made proposals to clients with Flowserve software and create software and sales documentation
- To provide complete and clear information and instructions to Customer Service Order Acquisition, Technical Services, Parts Group, etc. together with the requests for quotation
- To collect receivables and particularly the bad debts in liaison with finance departments
- To maintain Customer Profiles updated (Customer profiles must be inclusive of: Contact list, Visit reports, Customer spend, Installation list)
- To provide accurate booking forecast, monthly
- To produce quality on-time reports when requested
- To regularly visit customers all over the assigned territory: spend at least 50% of the working time visiting customers
- Be willing to travel in all countries of the assigned territory
