Description:

Overview:
The Sales Support role, in the dynamic field of distribution transformers, plays a crucial role in bolstering the effectiveness of a Sales teams. Reports directly to the Marketing Manager and provides essential support through data management, client communication, and sales process optimization. This position requires a proactive individual who can navigate the technical landscape of the distribution transformer industry and contribute to the achievement of sales targets through efficient administrative and support services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sales teams in preparing and organizing presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  • Create sophisticated systems for maintaining and updating sales and customer records, utilizing CRM and other advanced tools to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and easy accessibility.
  • Actively collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop integrated sales and marketing strategies, leveraging data analytics to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of marketing campaigns on sales targets.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging industry trends and gather customer feedback, utilizing insights to inform and adjust sales strategies proactively.
  • Plan and execute major sales initiatives including strategic sales meetings, and high-profile customer events, ensuring seamless organization and execution.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on sales performance, market analysis, and customer satisfaction using advanced analytics software, providing actionable insights to drive sales decisions and strategies.
  • Oversee the inventory of sales support materials, such as brochures, training materials and samples.
  • Innovate and update materials based on market trends and customer insights, ensuring they effectively support the sales process and organizational goals.
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of sophisticated sales policies and procedures, focusing on optimizing sales cycle efficiency, customer engagement strategies, and team performance.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the sales team while also implementing systems for improved time management and productivity.
  • Develop training programs for sales support staff on CRM software, data analysis tools, and advanced sales techniques, ensuring the team is well-equipped to support sales objectives and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field required or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of sales experience in a sales support, administrative, or customer service role, preferably within the distribution transformer industry or a related technical field.
  • 1+ year of project management experience.
  • Proven track record of supporting sales teams and contributing to sales operations efficiency.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational, project management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of fostering positive relationships with team members and clients.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in data management and reporting.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong desire to support sales objectives and initiatives.
  • Technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn product specifications and industry trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and other similar tools.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changing market conditions and sales strategies.
  • A team player with a collaborative spirit, willing to support various functions within the sales and marketing departments.
