SAP Business Analyst

We are looking for an SAP Business Analyst for a 12-month contract position in Calgary, Alberta with possible extensions. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or a related position
• Direct hands-on experience or project experience in business areas or functions
• Experience working with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) implementations in SAP ECC, having experience in SAP S/4 HANA with SAP Fiori would be a plus
• Experience with business requirement gathering documentation and business process modeling
• Experience with Signavio Tool
• Oil & Gas/Energy industry experience would be considered an asse

We are looking for a Business Analyst to work closely with the business/functional areas, and assist with overall project planning, management, coordination and execution for assigned projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate standardized best practices and demonstrate a key understanding of transition to operations and development of processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Support the modernization of software customizations, integrations and implementation of any included new functionalities
• Lead and participate in process reviews, working with stakeholders and the creation of requirements documentation
• Participate in standards and process creation, reviews, updates, development and documentation as well as deliver in standards, policies or process education and awareness
• Perform initial Data QA / completeness checks on finalized functional design documents
• Clarify questions on the functional design specifications for the developers who will document the technical specifications
• Participate in the creation of test scenarios, test cases and test scripts within formal Functional, Unit and Integration testing including the validation of data transformations and load results
• Manage and execute on required stakeholder and client engagement across project deliverables to support project plan and scope outline
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: functional requirements (business requirements document), use cases, workflow diagrams, and context diagrams
• Collaborate with project team members to progress the project forward as per project plan and scope outline
