Description:

TSPi is actively seeking a Scrum Master to join our team and support our government client. TSPi excels in meeting the needs of our partners (clients) by offering advanced technology solutions utilizing our industry specific knowledge, iterative Agile approach, our commitment and passion to serve, collaborative and fun team atmosphere, and pride in our work.
We are seeking to hire a Scrum Master using the SAFe Agile methodology. You’ll serve as the servant-leader for your team(s) by ensuring clear communication and collaboration among the team. You will drive the appropriate Agile methodology focused on predictable, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the team. You will facilitate team productivity by removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team’s goals and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes on the team. You will have significant interaction and contact with senior leadership.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Scrum Master role, ideally having experience assisting with an Agile transformation and working in a technically challenging and complex environment
  • Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate and understand/communicate technical issues
  • Mentor/Coach team in Agile processes
  • Scrum Master certification is desired

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, BI or Analytics or Engineering – or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Owners, cross-functional development teams, and Project Managers to support development and software delivery.
  • Assist the Product Owner in user story creation/prioritization and product Backlog grooming via emergent requirement elicitation while supporting overall organizational goals.
  • Track and report Scrum team velocity and manage Sprint capacity.
  • Manage high-level budgeting and time tracking.
  • Resolve or escalate blocking impediments as necessary.
  • Coordinate dependencies between teams with other Scrum Masters.
  • Work with Development managers to manage team capacity.
  • Ensure development team is working efficiently towards Sprint goals.
  • Coach the development team and stakeholders on how to use Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
  • Ensure cross functional coordination (analysts, developers and testers) is occurring early and often. Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice.
