Description:

We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Tester to join our team to ensure the highest quality assurance of our products through meticulous testing and reporting.
In this pivotal role, you will manage the backlog of testing requests, perform accessibility testing, and collaborate with various teams to enhance the product development lifecycle. You will also take on leadership responsibilities by mentoring junior testers and influencing testing decisions. This position requires a deep understanding of accessibility standards, proficiency in assistive technologies, and a strong ability to communicate effectively within a team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS in information science, information design, computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of testing experience in software development, web development, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in an accessibility-related field
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
  • Expert level understanding of assistive technologies and accessibility-related software including JAWS®, NVDA, and automated testing tools
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar for logging and tracking bugs
  • Demonstrated success facilitating testing efforts across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated success creating test plans and scripts
  • Ability to influence and define process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with high-level stakeholders
  • Strong ability to influence and effectively deal with ambiguous situations and make decisions
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the end-to-end quality assurance of a large product portfolio
  • Collaborate and communicate closely with key stakeholders in Design, Product Management, and Product Engineering
  • Guarantee on-time completion, precision, and alignment with expectations for all testing requests under the guidance of the Testing Lead
  • Act as a thought leader in accessibility testing by making informed recommendations
  • Mentor junior accessibility testers
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of test plans, scripts, and other documentation
  • Partner with the Accessibility Test Lead to develop and execute training plans for the testing team
  • Perform quality audits and advise on minimizing quality errors
  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling products of high complexity independently
  • Foster a positive, supportive team environment that encourages collaboration and innovation
  • Ensure adherence to the client’s accessibility policy and guidelines
  • Stay updated on evolving accessibility standards and industry trends
  • Continuously develop personal skills and knowledge in the field of accessibility testing
