Senior Accountant Position in the UAE
Are you an experienced Senior Accountant ready to take on a new challenge within the dynamic Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) sector? This contract position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth as part of a significant project in one of the most exciting industries today.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly-end closing activities and manage statutory financial statements compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Oversee consolidation packages ensuring alignment with group reporting norms.
- Provide robust support to Tax, Project Finance, Accounts Payable, and Treasury teams including SOX controls adherence.
- Engage actively in audits coordination while ensuring detailed internal controls compliance.
Required Skills & Experience:
Accounting Proficiency:
- Extensive knowledge of accounting practices adhering strictly to Local GAAP, IFRS principles is essential for this role.
Analytical Acumen:
- The candidate should possess strong analytical skills coupled with advanced proficiency managing large datasets using MS Office tools like Excel.
Software Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience working effectively within SAP environments will be critical due to complex multi-shareholder structures involved here.
SOX Compliance Knowledge
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements ensures effective control processes are maintained across all finance operations
Audit Coordination Capabilities
- Previous involvement coordinating various types of audits such as internal/external/JV/Tax positions candidates well by showcasing their comprehensive understanding audit procedures standards
This pivotal role demands at least sixteen years’ work experience preferably from either Oil & Gas industry backgrounds or reputable audit firms offering invaluable insights into operational excellence pursuit contexts alike!
