Description:

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Clinical Effectiveness Unit as a Senior Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator.

This involves the management and delivery of complex clinical audit projects in response to external (national guidance and imperatives) and Trust priorities. There is a key requirement for the post-holder to co-ordinate and support the implementation of the Unit Education Plan.
Clinical audit is primarily a quality improvement process that provides the opportunity to review and evidence best practice, drive improvement where required and widely share and learn together. It also plays an important role in providing assurance about the quality of care and services delivered to those who either use, commission or regulate.
Manage and deliver complex, clinical effectiveness projects in response to national guidance e.g., NICE Quality Standards, NCAPOP and commissioner priorities, and then lead on the related clinical effectiveness activities i.e., change management. The job will entail clinical audit of practice within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, at the interface with other city hospitals and with the majority of GP practices across Sheffield
Raise awareness of this specialist role across the Sheffield Health Community in order to establish and undertake successful collaborative projects (e.g., Accountable Care Organisations)
Develop the job role in response to departmental requirements to enable implementation of the Clinical Effectiveness strategies
Work closely with the Unit management team with regards to new developments in the department and provide support with staff recruitment and induction
You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves. The Trust is a leader in the NHS and research sectors and provides excellent benefits for its staff. This includes commitments to professional development but also many policies to support employees in balancing their personal and professional lives.
