Join our Research and Development (R&D) department in Kristiansand and become an integral part of our team dedicated to ensuring the quality and functionality of our revolutionary Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) concepts. This role will ensure that products developed by Pixii are tested to agreed test plans and relevant national and international standards. This important role supports Safety and Grid connection compliance, Hardware and Software Design and will contribute to our business best practice of ensuring efficient, safe and reliable products, through regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good knowledge of Electronics and Electrical Engineering principles
- Experience or documented qualifications working with Low voltage systems (under 1000V)
- Proven recent experience in compliance, listing, product development or testing of electrical products.
- Experience with battery systems, photovoltaic systems or power supplies is a benefit
- Ability to work result oriented both independently and systematically
- Working knowledge of relevant standards: EN 50549-1, EN 50549-2, EN 50549-10, VDE AR-N 4105, VDE AR-N 4110, VDE AR-N 4120, TF 3.3.1, EIFS 2018:2, UK G99, CEI 0-16, CEI 0-21, AS 4777.1, AS 4777.2, IEEE 1547, IEEE 1547.1 and other relevant standards.
- Working knowledge of National and International regulations and the ability to work with regulatory bodies is a plus.
- Working knowledge of python, GitLab and automation tools is an advantage
- Fluency in English (and German, if preferred location is Darmstadt
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and follow up compliance testing using detailed knowledge of standards and industry best practices at Third party testing and certification bodies
- Ensuring regulatory agency approvals for products by demonstrating product compliance with standards
- Gaining, maintaining and sharing up to date knowledge of regulatory requirements in the relevant markets
- Contributing during development of new products to provide guidance and identify possible obstacles for efficient certification processes
- Conducting risk analysis and with mitigation strategies
- Identify, develop and implement key performance indicators (KPI) and measurements that will drive efficiency, prevent non-conformities and ensure our products are safe and reliable
- Working closely together with the Certification team and contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
