Join us as a Senior Consultant at Medtronic IHS (Integrated Health Solutions) and become a driving force in revolutionizing patient care. As a seasoned Senior Consultant in Medtronic IHS, you’ll embark on a journey that entails engaging with clinical staff and key hospital stakeholders.
As a Senior Consultant at Medtronic IHS, you’ll navigate the entire spectrum of transformation. This means you’ll not only lead initiatives but also actively participate in their execution. From conceptualizing innovative solutions to implementation, you will be at the heart of every phase. Your role will encompass strategic planning, detailed project execution, and continuous improvement efforts.

As part of the EMEA Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions Consultancy Community, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, framing, and prioritizing initiatives to capture value, establishing a roadmap, and develop actionable plans/project portfolios for immediate improvement and cost savings.
  • Stakeholder management across the organizational levels and a solid understanding of the client’s values and beliefs.
  • The projects can be multifarious and comprehensive. Examples of projects are:
  • Data-Driven Planning: Utilize data analytics to support strategic planning and decision-making to help optimize the flow of acute and elective patients.
  • Mathematical Modelling: Develop and apply advanced mathematical models to solve complex problems in healthcare. Utilize system dynamics models to simulate healthcare processes and outcomes.
  • Capacity and demand Optimization: Analyse and improve the utilization of hospital resources, including staff, equipment, and facilities, to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Optimizing room utilisation, ensuring optimal planning and scheduling processes, and improving patient flow and patient pathways.
  • Predictive Analytics: Implement predictive modeling techniques to forecast patient outcomes, optimize treatment plans, and enhance decision-making processes.
  • Capturing learning and best practices and continuously enriching the Medtronic consulting toolbox.
  • Traveling up to 25%.

Must Haves

  • A master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, data science (or a related field) and a minimum of four years of relevant consulting experience
  • Proven experience in applying mathematical modelling techniques in healthcare settings
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Fluent in Danish and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English and Danish
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Change management skills
  • Stakeholder management skills

Nice to Haves

  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in how to work and communicate in international environments, preferably in a matrix organisation Understanding of the Nordic healthcare system, particularly clinical settings including patient flows and decision-making processes, is highly desirable
  • Certifications in LEAN, Six Sigma, Prince2 etc.
