We are currently seeking a Senior Courseware Consultant to join our team Remote based anywhere in Canada.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
- Provide recommendations to BPM on the best learning approaches based on TNA results or other project or performance results analysis.
- Develop design plan following adult learning principles and model such as ADDIE and User Experience (UX) design principles.
- Liaise with Process Area Owners (PAOs), Service Line (SL) and other internal stakeholders for validation and approval of Design and develop training packages and training plans.
- Collaborate with the team in the UX design sessions with the users.
- Propose a training solution that takes into account accessibility (i.e. to ensure that the training is accessible to employees with disabilities, injuries and/or ergonomic requirements, or those who require access to systems, programs, information, computers and computer resources).
- Work with BPM Training to describe training program curriculum including:
- Learning path.
- Define the characteristics of the learner.
- Establish integrated instruction and learning strategies.
- Specify instructional strategies.
- Specify the learning content and establish course outlines; and
- Assist in producing course guidelines as required
- Develop training solutions and materials related to the BMC ITSM tool respecting the internal processes in place.
- Micro-learning tools such as: how to videos, job aids, knowledge article (when required), Q&As
- On-line self-paced training using authoring tools such as: Articulate, Adobe Photoshop, Vyond, etc.
- Virtual instructor-led (VILT) training content.
- Other type of training material as required.
- Ensure quality assurance of the training material by:
- Testing with the users as required in both official languages
- Testing in the UAT or Training environment as required
- Reviewing and correcting the training content prior to send for quality assurance control function.
- Collaborate in the review of performance issues including:
- Analyzes based on evaluation results and learning needs analysis.
- Analyse tasks by role and identify performance gaps.
- Find solutions and make recommendations.
- Assist with the production of accessible instructional materials in accordance with accessible documents including:
- Identify accessible requirements and identify sources of accessible formats.
- Produce accessible teaching materials.
- Submit accessible training materials to ensure compliance with prescribed accessible standards and client requirements and revise as necessary.
- Evaluate accessible instructional materials to determine whether they can be converted in whole or in part for eLearning.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate, 10+ years of cumulative experience, within the last 12 years (Oct 2012 Oct 2024) working as Courseware Developer.
- Government of Canada issued security clearance at the Reliability level or the ability to obtain a Reliability clearance.
- Experience working with BMC Remedy software/tools/ applications/ solutions/ products.
- Must demonstrate, that within the timeframe of experience, you have experience performing tasks similar to those listed below for a minimum of six cumulative months of experience per task.
- Perform needs assessment/analysis for training purposes.
- Plan and monitor training projects.
- Perform job, task, and/or content analysis.
- Recommend instructional media and strategies.
- Develop training materials and conduct training courses through a variety of mediums (on-line, in-class, self-paced, or other acceptable teaching methodologies).
- Communicate effectively by visual, oral, and written form with individuals, small groups, and large audiences.
- Develop performance measurement standards with criterion-referenced, performance-based objectives.
- Must demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of cumulative experience in each of the identified requirements as indicated below.
- Experience developing and coordinating training plans and logistics for training delivery.
- Delivered a training course of 3 or more days using a virtual format.
- Experience working with end users, subject matter experts, and/or business analysts to design and develop user documentation and instructional materials for an ITSM Tool.
- Experience managing documentation development for an ITSM Tool.
- Experience developing learning packages and documentation using automated tools.
- Developing and delivering knowledge transfer sessions on the BMC ITSM application.
- Experience creating documents and simulations
