Description:
We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Data Platform Engineer - DevOps to join our Core Data Platform team. You will help us drive the company to the next level and have the most direct influence on our success.
Curious to know what we are working on?
The team provides tools, infrastructure, expertise, and best practices to empower every Flix employee through data excellence and reliable infrastructure. We put our users at the heart of our data platform, ensuring that they can easily discover, analyze, share, and leverage data. We have a constant process of reflecting on our current work and adapting new practices and technologies. Our daily work is built on trust and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain our data and streaming infrastructure in the cloud. You will bring the latest features from the confluent cloud (our multi-region Kafka cluster setup) and Snowflake to 80+ other engineering and analytic teams.
- Each of our solutions has a large impact by scaling it out to a permanently growing number of tech and business teams.
- Automate everything and use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Develop ops and data-related solutions, preferably in Python.
- Educate and support other teams to enable them to utilize our stack fully.
- Evaluate interesting new technologies and come up with strategies to implement them.
- Spot and troubleshoot problems using our monitoring systems (Datadog) and use your insights to improve our disaster recovery plan.
- Please participate in our 24/7 on-call rotation, which ensures our systems’ uptime and the off-call team members’ downtime.
