Description:

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Act as “Strategic Business Partner” and “Coach” in the Region in all relevant HR Management issues. Guide and advice the HR Leaders in the country, ensuring that we are providing the best HR strategies and services to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best people. Serve as the Regional extension of Group Human Resources to ensure a consistent application of all Group HR Standards and Principles. Support the VP, HR in providing functional leadership for HR functions within Multi-functional and Sales Force countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Together with the VP, HR, lead the design of the Human Resources Strategic Business Plan (SBP) of the Market and lead the execution and control of this SBP for the respective country. Support countries to ensure a harmonized implementation in all relevant locations (Lead, Multi-functional and Sales Force countries)
  • Lead strategic market initiatives and project across all countries, ensuring the required results are achieved timely and within budget
  • Support and consult country HR Directors and Senior Directors as requested across all HR topics
  • In the absence of the HR VP, serve as acting HR lead for the market with accountability for all HR functions and escalations
  • Maintain a high level of communication with Management and contribute to the decision-making process of structuring and developing the team for the country. Actively support business initiatives and business needs with effective HR measures and promote positive employee relations in the work environment
  • Ensure that all aspects of staffing, employee and, where necessary, union relations, employee development, and compensation & benefits for all employees of the Region are delivered timely and in accordance with relevant labor and commercial legislation, in line with corporate guidelines, the global policy manual and modern HR Management practice
  • Drive initiatives and efficient processes, in close co-ordination with global Talent and in close alignment with market HR partners, in the areas of Learning, Leadership, Performance and Succession, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting as well as Organizational Development efforts.
  • Ensure smooth processes for talent acquisition and transfer activities in support functions and lead the recruitment for the Senior Leadership team of the country.
  • Work closely with the regional Rewards team to promote and develop overall compensation & benefit programs and ensure proper implementation. Ensure framework for local compensation programs based upon Global Salary Management System and local benefits programs in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Lead personnel planning, annual salary rounds and promotions/salary adjustments for defined areas in accordance with GSMS-process and in close cooperation with market Rewards.
  • Lead the HR Leadership in the country and give functional direction according to the global, as well as market strategies and concepts - ensuring a harmonized approach to all relevant HR processes (one voice to the customer).
  • Define organizational structure, set objectives, and manage workloads and results to achieve goals while adopting best practices and achieving continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure high employee engagement at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, and development of personnel in the team.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly specialized level of business acumen.
  • Extensive depth of theoretical knowledge and organizational practice or expertise across several disciplines.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12 years experience
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience required
