The Senior Director, PMO is responsible for leading, managing and developing a world-class PMO function for the newly formed Acute Care Diagnostics Business Unit. Key responsibilities include managing the R&D PMO organization globally, supporting new product development (NPD), new technology development (NTD)) as well as market access and product sustainment. The role will require you to combine process and tool excellence with a strong business acumen and strategic thinking, as well as strong stakeholder management across all levels in the organization.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Master’s degree in Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration.
  • >10 years of experience developing/launching products in a regulated environment.
  • >10 years of project management and/or department management experience.
  • Strong business/commercial understanding and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of DBS, Toyota Productions Systems, Lean Six Sigma or similar.
  • Ability to lead and work in the matrix with cross-functional teams globally.
  • Change management skills, ability to mentor and facilitate change in an environment with varying acceptance and across diverse business environments.
  • Ability to work and influence all levels of the organization from L1 to Senior Leaders in all functional areas.
  • Proficiency with personal computer applications incl. Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Point.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel is to be expected and will vary from 15-30%.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

As a Senior Director PMO you will lead and execute the portfolio of R&D projects aligned with the business strategy and prioritization with the objective to deliver projects on-time and on-budget, to meet business objectives and customer needs.
As a member of the Acute Care Diagnostics leadership team, you will have the opportunity to be part of a cultural transformation in the newly formed business unit and drive new ways of working within your department as well as the BU. You will be working with a highly engaged and committed team across multiple sites and functions, as well as have a unique opportunity to interact with other Danaher Operating Companies to learn and share best practices.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT OF NPD, NTD, PRODUCT SUSTAINMENT AND RATIONALIZED ROADMAPS:

  • Drive execution of key R&D projects / programs, in line with the business strategy and goals.
  • Lead project and program management for NPD, NTD and sustainment, including leading a team of dedicated project managers.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment across different functions, regions, and product portfolios, to ensure proper focus and prioritization.
  • Lead and drive on-time delivery for the portfolio while implementing process improvements to drive higher efficiencies.
  • OPEX management and control.
  • Develop and implement proper metrics and KPIs to measure progress and success.
