Description:

OVERVIEW:

  • Our client specializes in supporting HR teams and company owners across the country with employment law and people management challenges and/or projects. They have fast grown their employment law team over the years and have become a key player in the employment services market.
  • They have big brands on their portfolio that have been with them for many years and a testament to the quality of their services.
  • They are seeking a Senior Employment Lawyer to contribute to this continued their growth. They are a fully remote business (with some travel for work related meetings), also offering top benefits at a comprehensive level. Salary offered is between £75,000 - £90,000.
  • With over 17 years of experience, they provide tailored services including management training, employee relations support, and tribunal representation.
  • They are known for their strong, collaborative partnerships with clients, adding significant value to their HR strategies and operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Law qualification.
  • Solicitor with minimum 5 years PQE.
  • Proven experience in managing key client accounts and delivering on business-critical projects.
  • Technically strong with a commercial, pragmatic approach and excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships, particularly with HR professionals.
  • Proficient in case management systems.
  • Experience in trade union heritage law firms or in-house unionized corporate industrial relations is desirable.
  • Experience delivering webinars, video training, and training workshops is desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pragmatic employment law support to HR professionals on both contentious and non-contentious issues.
  • Deliver management training and workshops on employment law across the UK.
  • Represent clients in Employment Tribunals nationwide.
  • Lead and manage primary client accounts.
  • Develop new business opportunities, service offerings, and innovative working methods.
  • Offer daily advice to clients on employment law and employee relations, including diagnosing issues, understanding business objectives, and providing risk analysis and support.
  • Draft and review correspondence, documents, policies, and contracts to align with client cultures.
  • Manage client projects such as changes to terms and conditions and TUPE transfers.
  • Conduct client surgeries to address employee relations issues and strategic priorities.
  • Oversee Employment Tribunal litigation, including case management, pleadings, and witness statements.
  • Provide advocacy in Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeal Tribunals.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, create upselling opportunities, and contribute to business development through content creation, networking, and social media engagement.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for internal and external audiences.
