Job Summary
Genencor International Oy is part of the global IFF company. We are a global leader in the industrial biotechnology sector which develops innovative enzymes and bio-products to improve the performance and reduce the environmental impact of the detergents and dish washing, textiles, animal nutrition, food & grain processing and other chemical industries. Our Hanko plant in Finland is producing a variety of sustainable enzyme products for Home & Personal Care, Animal Nutrition and Food Enzymes markets.
We are now looking for a Regional Process Engineer based in Hanko, Finland!
As part of the Manufacturing Technology team, you will:
- Become an expert in this leading-edge process technology.
- Use your prior experience in CAPEX Execution and/or Process Optimization depending on the project.
- In Capex projects:
- Drive and focus on the Front-End-Loading phase of Capital. Be part of the team to update Basic Data to the defined Scope.
- Work at the interphase of Operations, MT, Process R&D and 3rd party contractors to proactively address technology risks during design and Capex execution.
- Be guardian of hygienic design principles in the region.
- In Process performance and continuous improvement projects:
- Analysis of process data, compiling results and progress in clear reports for the global project teams.
- Be an active member in process and equipment changes and construction projects, providing technical support, developing the automation level of the process, and lead commissioning and start-up activities.
- Participate in new product introductions to the plant together with global teams and R&D.
- Participate in global network of experts to drive technology development across production sites.
- Process safety and sustainability in your process area are an integral part of your job.
- Collaborate across MT, Process R&D and Operations
Your Qualifications:
- Master/Bachelor of Science, Engineering discipline required (Chemical or Biochemical preferred)
- Fluent Finnish & English language skills
- 5 – 15 years of experience in Manufacturing in multiple process industries (Chemical – Biotechnology – Food)
- Demonstration of influential leadership to lead & mentor others.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
