Senior Financial Analyst - Advanced Therapies Supply Chain
Location: Beerse, Belgium or Ghent, Belgium

THE OPPORTUNITY

Janssen Supply Chain (JSC) is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst located in Ghent or Beerse (Belgium). This role will provide financial leadership to the European Advanced Therapies Supply Chain team and will report to the Finance Manager JSC Advanced Therapies. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and agility.
The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
The Senior Financial Analyst has responsibility of providing financial stewardship to the CAR-T manufacturing sites in Ghent and Beerse in partnership with the Site Leadership Team. This includes managing site budgets, tracking facility investments, and implementing financial processes and controls for the unique CAR-T manufacturing process and collaboration partnership structure. There may also be ad hoc opportunities in special projects such as capital appropriation request, cost improvement program, financial assessment of new manufacturing technologies, etc.
This position offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate financial leadership in a start-up like environment, and work with extensive cross-functional teams, external partners, and various finance groups such as Janssen Business Services, Supply Chain, Alliance Management, Commercial and R&D finance.

As a future Senior Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Provide financial control and accounting guidance to business partners in all areas of the sites;
  • Prepare budget versus actual analyses on department budgets, headcount, and investments; and drive optimization through review with budget owners;
  • Manage quarter close accounting entries; compile internal and collaboration reporting packages;
  • Assist the business in the annual Business Plan forecast, update cycles, and long-range financial plan (LRFP); partner with budget owners to drive prioritization decisions, deliver financial commitments, and improve forecast accuracy;
  • Evaluate financial benefits (NPV, IRR, etc.) of facility and technology investments, and track investment projects against forecast targets;
  • Embrace and implement the SigniFi program (next generation financial planning and reporting);
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses to drive business decisions and operational improvements.
