Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for senior healthcare assistant’s to work on D12, transitioning to B6 ward at MMUH in November, a purpose built, brand new 16 side room ward.
D12 is currently a 9 bedded Haematology ward at City hospital, that consists of all side rooms. This will uplift to a 16 bedded side room ward at MMUH when we move in November.
Patients are admitted and treated for a wide range of Haematological disorders including Sickle cell and thalassemia patients.
Successful candidate’s will be expected to incorporate the trust values within their daily role for all aspects of their care.
Shifts will consist of Long days (12.5 hours), Nights (12.5 hours) and weekends.
Undertake aspects of basic nursing care and maintenance of the ward/ department, in support of professionally qualified members of the multidisciplinary team ensuring the highest standard of patient/client care.
Undertake some higher-level clinical duties under the direction/supervision of a qualified nurse/practitioner.
Deliver care under the supervision and direction of qualified members of the team.
Recognise, review and report any change to patient’s/client’s condition, including any action taken to appropriately qualified senior members of the team.
