Description:
Wells Fargo is looking for a Lead Security Analyst.
This role is in the office three days a week, posted in the cities where it will be seated.
This role has no Visa sponsorship or transfers.

We are seeking a Senior Lead Information Security Analyst, to provide information protection governance within Wells Fargo’s Cybersecurity Program. This resource will be engaged in strategic initiatives using emerging technology to enforce information protection policies. This resource will also develop, implement, and execute controls to govern the remediation of identified deficiencies. This role partners with multiple stakeholders within Technology, Cybersecurity, and multiple lines of business.
You will have a direct impact on protecting sensitive information ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, with strong analysis skills and technical knowledge to ensure information protection capabilities are included in all aspects of the company’s technology architecture.
- In this role you will:
- Provide enterprise-wide information protection governance to ensure adherence to policy, laws, and regulatory requirements
- Provide thought leadership, vision, direction, and expertise related to information protection technology innovation
- Drive the successful completion of programs to achieve business goals, including timely identification, escalation, and remediation of risks and issues that impact program execution and delivery
- Drive implementation of large-scale, cross-functional, or enterprise-wide information protection solutions
- Design, implement, and execute controls to ensure remediation of information protection related deficiencies
- Ensure the team has the necessary training to effectively execute and sustain controls
- Engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide and serve as an experienced advisor to leadership
- Maintain and employ knowledge of the current threat landscape, laws, regulations, and industry best practices for Technology and Cybersecurity
- Develop and deliver concise impactful reporting to executive leadership
- Build strong relationships with product owners, business partners, and key stakeholders
- Coordinate, facilitate, negotiate, and influence cross-functional macro-level topics with key stakeholders and senior management
- Deliver clear, concise, and actionable communication to various levels of organization on a timely basis to ensure effective understanding, decision-making, and execution
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- CISSP, CRISC or equivalent
- 5+ years experience with security infrastructure technologies, database management, cryptography, certificate and key management, data loss prevention, information protection, cloud governance, and/or incident response
- 7+ years experience in the development and management of complex programs spanning multiple technology, Cybersecurity, or large banking operations
- 7+ in financial services or other highly-regulated industry; knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment
- Knowledge of COBIT, FedRamp, PCI, GLBA 501(b), FFIEC, ISO, MITRE, NIST, CRI and other key industry frameworks and authoritative sources
- Functional experience across two or more Cybersecurity domains (e.g., infrastructure, cryptography, identity and access management, data loss prevention)
- Experience with developing and presenting concise impactful business management materials to senior management and governance committees
- Strong critical thinking skills, consistent attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines amidst competing priorities
- Advanced level leadership, communication, relationship building, negotiating, and influencing skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with agile methodology and Atlassian suite of products (e.g., Confluence, Jira)
- Experience with data aggregation and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
