Description:
REQUIREMENTS
You should minimally possess a Master’s Degree in Arts Management, Technical Theatre or Production Design.
A strong track record of research/practice, with actual or potential for research output in your chosen field, with 10 years of teaching and relevant working experience, and the ability to teach a range of subjects in the arts management curriculum.
A positive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented educator with the ability to engage students in their learning, as well as a team player with good interpersonal skills, excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills. Application Closing Date:
Responsibilities:
- Undertake 20-24 contact/teaching hours per week in one or more of the following domain areas:
- Arts Management
- Arts Business
- Technical Theatre
- Design and Digital Skills
- Design, prepare and develop module/teaching materials for Diploma in Arts Management and Bachelor of Arts courses.
- Plan, lead or supervise activities such as projects, productions and collaborations.
- Organise excursions, including overseas immersion programmes and study trips.
- Supervise and assess students’ assignments/works/projects
- Prepare and maintain records relating to students’ progress, performance, and attendance
- Contribute towards review of curriculum and academic activities
- Mentor and provide academic care and support, including career guidance to students and Industry-based learning (IBL) supervision
- Keep up to date on the development of discipline-related teaching practices and learning strategies
- Establish and maintain links with the industry and institutions to foster a total approach of academic pursuit alongside industry practice
- Contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and research
- Teach in other courses within the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Practices or across the Academy as required.
- Perform administrative duties in support of the School, Faculty and Academy
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
