Description:

PURPOSE: The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for coordinating and managing processes and activities related to organizational data. This position ensures accurate and timely delivery of information for critical processes such as Sales Forecast (bookings and revenue), STRAT planning and annual budgeting. The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence will focus on customers and stakeholders in developing a BI practice focused on delivering value on business priority areas. The role is responsible for data analysis and reporting, revenue forecasting, and master data governance/management. The Senior Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for strong collaboration and partnership with Finance, Commercial Sales Leaders, Marketing and the Hach Data/Commercial Analytics teams. This role is a key enabler to organizational growth initiatives.
This position will lead a small team serving in a “hub and spoke” model for data collection and analysis, focused primarily on commercial data. This role will establish VES processes and practices to ensure continuous improvement and sustainment of best practices through standard work. This position reports directly report to the VP of Sales and is part of the Sales Leadership team.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience. MBA strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • 6+ years’ experience in roles supporting business teams managing technology systems to help drive revenue.
  • Proven experience collaborating with key stakeholders at various levels (including Executive Level) within a matrix organization to solve complex problems.
  • Advanced user of MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in ERP systems, SalesForce (or other CRM systems) and BI visualization and reporting tools particularly PowerBI.
  • Experience integrating and working with marketing automation platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration and Partnerships:

  • Build and sustain full partnerships with Finance, Sales Leadership and Marketing orgs. In collaboration with these partners, provide consistent, timely and accurate information for critical business processes.

  • Own process to accurately report monthly revenue and bookings forecast. Full and open collaboration with Sales Leadership and Finance to ensure alignment and accuracy of numbers throughout all business systems (CRM, ERP, etc).
  • Leverage best practice, technology and automation to establish standard work to deliver analysis needed for Sales Leadership/Executive Teams to make decisions.
  • Collaborate on key processes such as revenue recognition, variable compensation/sales incentive plan development, pricing and lead generation.
  • Lead the team consisting of a SalesForce Administrator, Business Intelligence Developer and Business Development Representatives.
  • Business Analysis, Data and Insights:
  • Analyze Sales Data and overall business performance to provide insights and recommendations to Sales team and Senior Leadership; participate in annual STRAT planning process to provide insights and recommendations on strategic direction.
  • Lead development of a organization-wide Business Intelligence practice informed by strategic business priorities and policy deployment initiatives.
  • Own on-time delivery of quality information through automated dashboards, visual displays and reports. Automate dashboards and reports.
  • Identify areas for improvement in data management, BI application development and core business processes using VES tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and hygiene for CRM (SalesForce); collaborate with Finance on integration with new ERP.
  • Deliver core business metrics, reporting and analytics, including pipeline, bookings, lead funnel, and renewal (ARR) analysis for the sales organization.
  • Lead the creation and sustainment of sales analytics and business intelligence tools for use at the seller, manager and executive levels of the organization.
