(SENIOR) MANAGER DEBT & CAPITAL ADVISORY

The growing Debt & Capital Advisory team is part of the Deals - Corporate Finance department of this leading advisor with a strong name in the market for professionalism and reliability. Joining this growing, independent team of financial advisors, will provide you with a great opportunity to grow, personally, professionally, and career-wise.
Across all ranks (depending on seniority) in Debt & Capital Advisory, you will work with a diverse array of appealing customers and financing structures, within the larger Corporate Finance team, focusing on innovation and personal development in arranging acquisition financing, growth financing, or refinancing for family businesses, corporates, and private equity houses, on a European scale.In collaboration with experienced Debt & Capital Advisory colleagues, you will assist in developing financial advice, creating information packages for clients, performing financial analyses, and executing transactions. Additionally, you play a key role in commercial processes, client communications and in the interaction with over ninety Euro area lenders. You are involved from the initial meeting to completion of the financing and develop commercial skills by collaborating with top clients.You will work closely with peers in the M&A department(s) and Debt & Capital Advisory colleagues in other countries often on joint engagements, leveraging the company’s international network, global expertise and relationships. You play an important role in the development and growth of the team, where the work is conducted entirely independently of lenders, and strategic advice is provided on the optimal capital and financing structures for clients. This involves using a wide variety of financing instruments (bonds, loans, hybrids, securitisation) and up to date knowledge of developments in the debt markets relevant to your client.

What you will do:

  • Coordinating end-to-end debt advisory processes including project management, data room management, preparation of marketing materials including teasers and information memoranda, coordinating with (external) advisors, and managing Q&A with prospective lender
  • Managing, contributing to, and supporting the execution of (financing) transaction processes
  • Preparing presentations regarding integrated debt, equity, and risk mitigation solutions
  • Preparing (often complex) financial models
  • Performing credit analyses and writing credit summaries. Preparing (implied) credit ratings profiles and industry peer group analysis.
  • Assisting and analysing due diligence information (when required) and reviewing transaction (legal) documentation
  • Maintaining active contacts with clients, lenders, and other departments/disciplines within the company. You engage in client-focused roles from the beginning of a transaction through to the execution process.
  • Actively supporting deal generation through continuous dialogue with (senior) team members and senior originators within other departments.
  • Developing creative solutions and enhancing idea replication and knowledge sharing across the Corporate Finance – Deals unit, based on an integrated multi-product approach; and
  • Contribute significantly to the development and growth of the Debt & Capital Advisory team.

Who you are:

  • 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in banking or financing. Higher function levels (Manager/Sr. ManagerAD/D) are possible in line with your experience.
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Fluent in English, where proficiency in Dutch is considered an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of the market and products within Leveraged Finance and/or Syndicated Loans. Your experience with and knowledge of Corporate Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Equity Capital Markets will support and guide you in the execution of your role.
  • Experience in debt origination and execution is a must.
  • You have a good sense for commerce and know how to translate customer needs into (financing) solutions.
  • You exhibit strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and quality, and the ability to deliver results on time and under pressure.
