The team you’ll work with:
The role holder will manage the HSBC Innovation Banking Financial Accounting and Reporting team, ensuring efficient monthly financial reporting in collaboration with the HSBC Innovation Banking Finance function, the offshore team and HSBC stakeholders.
The value you’ll add
You will provide strategic direction and guidance to HSBC Innovation Banking senior management on financial reporting issues, ensuring proper implementation of accounting and reporting projects.
Principal Responsibilities:
Develop and implement policies for IFRS compliance and financial reporting risk management.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation and reporting systems for local and global obligations. - Offer accounting expertise on HSBC Innovation Banking products and corporate matters.
Lead and influence decisions on accounting and financial reporting matters with stakeholders.
Provide direction on financial risk management solutions that support business needs.
Promote collaboration on accounting and financial reporting issues within HSBC Innovation Banking and HSBC.
Ensure management comprehends and implements recommendations on accounting matters.
Oversee internal and external audit programs for compliance.
Guide the local financial accounting and reporting team to meet all responsibilities.
Controls and Compliance:
Address operational risks and adhere to relevant laws, rules, and Group Compliance Policies.
Continuously reassess financial reporting risks amid changing conditions and regulations.
Maintain HSBC’s internal control standards and ensure compliance with all relevant procedures.
Requirements
You will be a Qualified Finance professional (Chartered Accountant).
You must have proven track record in financial control and reporting.
In house experience, preferably gained in another Financial Services institution. Alternatively, experience gained in a Big Four firm.
Demonstrate experience in managing a team and reporting to senior management.
Strong leadership and team management skills required.
