After successfully establishing its European headquarters in Frankfurt a.M., Banque Pictet & Cie (Europe) AG is seeking to hire a Senior Market Infrastructure Regulations Specialist (m/f/d) to strengthen market infrastructure expertise for regulatory compliance.

Job description:
As the successful candidate you will act as Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME), ensuring the compliance with the relevant EU/UK Market Infrastructure (MI) regulations on securities and derivatives (e.g. EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR, CSDR, etc.) within our European Bank Pictet & Cie Europe AG and its branches (BPAG) and supporting the implementation of any evolution in these rules. You will report to the EU Head of Market Infrastructure in Luxembourg.

Your role

  • Support our front line and operations in the implementation of activities & processes in compliance with MI regulations. Support in setting up front-to-back transactional flows & processes, client onboarding and contracting, product and service offering delivery, pre-trading and execution setups, post trade and risk mitigation, regulatory transaction reporting.
  • Act as SME for the first line and the second line in the implementation of the appropriate control framework (support implementation of control testing, assistance to corporate functions like legal, risk and compliance).
  • Manage and oversee MI policies and directives, initiate thematic reviews to ensure compliance and participate to relevant Commitee as defined in BPAG’s governance as SME.
  • Translate market infrastructure regulatory requirements into actionable implementation plans, contribute to the implementation while considering best market practices.
  • Be the point of contact for all exchanges concerning MI topics with relevant NCAs (BaFin, FCA and CSSF) and auditors.
  • Perform regulatory watch and impact analysis stemming from EU regulatory requirements, in cooperation with Group functions.
  • Participate in professional associations to keep up to date on industry trends, best practices or share and tackle common market particpants concerns.
  • Ensure that local and Group regulatory developments, key ongoing projects and initiatives, risks are communicated within BPAG in an appropriate manner to the impacted business lines and concerned corporate functions.

Profile description:

Your profile

  • University degree (under/postgraduate) in Finance, Economics and/or Risk Management or similar.
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in banking / the finance industry (investment firm, audit or advisory firm) preferably involved in MI regulatory compliance topics or projects.
  • Prior experience in dealing with EU regulators / authorities, specifically strong knowledge of BaFin’s expectations related to MI requirements (past interactions with BaFin as a must).
  • Strong communication skills: ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with both peers and external stakeholders, including regulators.
  • A team player with a positive approach and a strong culture of risk management, who is flexible and able to cope with stress and manage priorities.
  • Able to define high-level specifications to prepare regulatory IT developments / data queries.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in German and/or English, French would be a plus.
