Pharmacy Services at Maidstone are modern and proactive and are highly regarded in the Trust.
The Main Pharmacy is in a modern purpose built department complete with fully automated dispensary and excellent training facilities.
For more information on our departments please visit www.mtw.nhs.uk
The Trust has a free staff bus service between Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital (staff can get on/off the bus at any stops along the route) and a newly introduced park and ride system nearby both hospitals.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our High Cost Drug and Homecare Pharmacy team.
You will be part of a small but important and essential pharmacy team. We provide a high standard of service to the Trust caring for our patients who receive medication via our homecare services.
You will help assist the team in the management of Homecare prescriptions which includes ensuring that the relevant drug is added to local databases and that prescriptions and invoices are processed in a timely manner.
You will also assist in Immunoglobulin treatments dispensed at the Trust and other Hospitals across our region and help maintain National and Trust immunoglobulin records.
Computer experience would be an advantage, with some Excel and Word skills. You will be trained to use the JAC Pharmacy computer system and the national immunoglobulin and other High Cost Drug databases.
You should enjoy working in a team, but must also be capable of working independently. You must also be accurate, numerate, highly organised, have high attention to detail and possess good communication skills.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust ranks among the top 10 NHS Trusts nationwide and was named the second-best Trust to work for in the South East in the 2023 NHS Staff Survey.
We are a large acute hospital trust in south-east England, providing general hospital services and specialist care to around 600,000 residents in West Kent and East Sussex. With a dedicated team of over 8,000 staff we are proud to offer specialised cancer services to over two million people through the Kent Oncology Centre.
Fordcombe Hospital, near Tunbridge Wells, became part of the Trust in October 2024. Specialising in planned care, it offers two operating theatres, 28 inpatient and day-care beds, diagnostic services (X-ray, MRI, CT, and endoscopy), and consultation/treatment rooms.
