Senior Policy Officer

WHAT WILL THIS ROLE INVOLVE?

This position is one of three Senior Policy Officers in the Policy team. The team also comprises a Principal Policy Officer and the Assistant Commissioner – Policy. The Senior Policy Officer has a strong interest in information privacy, information management, government transparency and accountability, policy, technology, and law. The Senior Policy Officer works across each of the team’s functions and gains experience in a variety of areas. See the position description for key accountabilities and duties.
This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, research experience, strong analytical skills, and legal analysis skills.
The Senior Policy Officer works closely with other members of the Policy team, other teams across OVIC, and OVIC’s Commissioners. The ability to work effectively with others is an important aspect of this role.
