Our Opportunity
Mirvac currently has 2 x Senior Project Engineers to work as part of our Harbourside project team. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects efficiently, ensuring it exceeds the project parameters for time, cost, customer satisfaction, quality, and HSE. Responsible for the overall coordination of Site Based Procurement Activities and design coordination and development including service and structure coordination meetings and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development of all overall construction programmes and schedules.
Overall coordination and responsible for all activities and tasks associated with the development of overall planning and programming.
Provide guidance and instruction to Building Engineers and Cadets.
Overall responsibility for the preparation and monitoring of all overall design construction and procurement programmes and schedules.
Overall responsibility for the Development and management of production-planning schedules.
Overall coordinator of the procurement programme (OSAS) including the establishment and monitoring.
Overall responsibility for the coordination of all programs and review same.
Responsible for the preparation and collation of all monthly Construction PCG documentation.
Assist design with build ability input/review of all preliminary issue design documentation.
Assist the Contract Administrator in the development of Cash Flow Forecast models, including the tracking and adjustment of same.
Assist the Project Manager in all activities required prior to obtaining ACC including all pre-planning activities, site start-up schedules, development of P&S Budget Build-ups and the like.
Ensure that all monitoring of quality assurance procedures are completed in line with Mirvac’s quality requirements.
Ensure that all site controls and recording procedures for delays are established and implemented.
Assist the Site Manager and Foremen in the supervision and monitoring of subcontractors and suppliers.
Administration of subcontractor’s progress claims, variation claims and extensions of time claims, including the timely tracking and forecasting of same.
Identify detailed project risks and issues and raise them to the appropriate levels in a timely fashion.
Ensure that all site reports and general administration activities are completed in line with company policies.
Your point of difference
To be successful you must have a minimum 5-7 years’ in a project engineering site based role working on large scale building projects. You will also have proven experience in managing site engineers and set subcontractors.
We are looking for someone tertiary qualified in a construction related degree that can demonstrate complex project management experience in the construction industry.
