Description:
Stone Creek Resorts Inc. is a well-established Alberta company that delivers our signature hospitality and luxury lifestyle experiences at our owned and operated world-class golf resorts Silvertip Resort - Canmore, AB, and Eagle Ranch Resort - Invermere, BC. With a large-scale multiyear development plan for residential and resort accommodations, associated commercial uses, Silvertip Resort is one of Canada’s largest resort real estate developments.
Silvertip is comprised of luxury estate lots and world-class golf course. Development growth plans for Silvertip are projected for $50 - 100 million in annual real estate. Approved plans include 380 additional residential units in single family, villa, and multifamily, and development of Silvertip Village including 1,290 resort accommodation units, conference centre, gondola, spa and wellness center. A further 850 staff housing units are anticipated for development within Silvertip. Eagle Ranch has approved zoning for 350 residential sites and 100 resort lodging units. Development plans are currently focused on adding amenities to existing luxury lodging and world-class golf course.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Resort Development, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for steering the planning, execution and completion of development plans, driving timelines and establishing budgets for project success. The Senior Project Manager is knowledgeable and proficient with full integration of project management across a diverse portfolio of development projects, consultants, and stakeholders. Demonstrated skill in communicating at all levels and cultivating highly operational relationships, including team members, engineers, planners, administrations, approving authorities, and community members plays a critical role in the growth of Stone Creek’s resort communities. The Senior Development Manager will also play a pivotal role in mentoring team members to grow their knowledge and proficiency in building and development processes, timelines, and budgets in more detail.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Providing owner representation to specific aspects on each of the diverse projects and products in development.
- Driving and navigating the development and building processes required to achieve project delivery on time, including planning, engineering, and design consultant teams.
- Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with the senior leadership team and internal stakeholders.
- Tracking full project schedules to ensure milestones and timelines are being met.
- Lending expertise and leadership to the project, including management of on-site work, schedules, and consultants.
- Estimating resources and participants by providing contract evaluation, initiation, and management required to achieve project goals.
- Ensuring skilful project management, delivering budgets and managing costs, working alongside accounting, and meeting financial project milestones.
- Mentoring and directing project team members to ensure that designs, budgets and schedules are well coordinated and communicated.
- Managing the day-to-day project activities and resources.
- Leading, reviewing terms, and executing RFPs, ensuring that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
- Creating reports, and providing status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues,
- Communicating frequently with leadership.
Knowledge, Expertise and Skills Required:
The Senior Project Manager will bring proven experience in resort, community development, and building including a deep understanding of a project cycle from feasibility, approvals, and financing through to construction. Working knowledge of marketing and sales and ability to initiate, where needed, as well as integrate required resources in building and development projects is essential to this role. A thorough understanding of design and construction trends in Western Canada and abroad, and an attitude of continuous improvement and learning is an asset.
- 10+ years of real estate development experience
- Project management experience including horizontal and vertical construction, best practices, and property development. Resort and/or mountain development experience is an asset.
- Extensive understanding of project management principles, methods and techniques.
- Hands-on construction expertise to our resort and community development, sound credentials, and reliable, demonstrated experience overseeing development and building projects.
- A firm understanding in all phases of planning, operational programming requirements, financing, horizontal and vertical building project components. This includes strategy, approvals, sales and marketing, construction and project delivery.
- Post Secondary education in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Real Estate, Land Development or Business considered an asset
- Microsoft office 365
- Valid Driver’s License
