Description:

The roleThe Analysis and Accountability Team leads a range of digital and information initiatives that enable access to relevant information and analytics, support digital information capabilities and facilitate the shift to digitally enabled healthcare. Underpinned by information, technology and digital strategies, the work program progresses three main priority areas: delivery of reporting and analytics that provides insights into Queensland’s public mental health and alcohol and other drug services; development and delivery of a mental health and alcohol and other drug Clinical Business Intelligence capability and; project and change management activities focussed on service performance management, funding and costing models and research.
Key accountability include: - Use appropriate traditional/ or agile project management methodologies, techniques and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered within the defined timelines. - Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders and senior management on specific issues relating to assigned areas of responsibility. - Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders and facilitate effective communication and partnerships. - Undertake timely review and provision of relevant and accurate mental health, alcohol and other drugs data.- Critically analyse mental health alcohol and other drugs data to inform and influence decision making. - Prepare and disseminate high-quality reports, briefs and ministerial correspondence, applying context and meaningful insights to data and connections to broader Queensland Health policies and initiatives. - Prepare meeting documentation such as agendas and related information, share insights and present on projects and complex clinical and administrative data and reports.- Ensure the progression of research applications for access and disclosure of mental health alcohol and other drugs data, whilst ensuring consumer privacy and trust is maintained.- Develop, maintain, and apply a sound knowledge of relevant digital and information strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives.- Develop, maintain, and apply a sound knowledge of mental health alcohol and other drug treatment service system, and strategic and legislative frameworks including data collection and reporting requirements and the complex interrelationships with the government, non-government and private sectors. - Actively contribute to developing and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Sector values as outlined above.
The successful personThe essential requirements for this role are: - Demonstrated ability to analyse data for trends and apply context. - Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate the delivery of large-scale projects and/or programs, inclusive of change management concepts. - Demonstrated strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically analyse and interpret clinical and administrative mental health alcohol and other drugs data and legislation. - Demonstrated ability prepare briefings, project documentation and reports on complex mental health alcohol and other drugs data, whilst applying context and linking to relevant policies and initiatives. - Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to engage and collaborate with all levels of management and stakeholders. Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
