We are looking for an experienced scientist to strengthen our Primary Pharmacology team. and play a pivotal role in designing and executing experiments and contributing to the development of novel therapeutics.”

Responsibilities:

  • A PhD in in vitro pharmacology, neuroscience, cell biology, biochemistry or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in drug discovery in an industrial setting.
  • Experience and proven track record in the development and use of relevant cellular and biochemical assays (for instance binding assays, cellular signaling, Ca++ flux, HTRF-based assays, high content imaging, RT-PCR). Practical knowledge of biophysical methods such as SPR, MST or NMR is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience of cell culture techniques including cell lines, primary cells and/or iPSC-derived models.
  • A passion for data quality and excellent data analysis capabilities, including expert knowledge of relevant software and regression models and a quantitative mindset to make optimal use of in vitro data.
  • Experience in screening standards and the development of small molecule therapeutics and/or alternative modalities such as biologics or RNA therapeutics.
  • A good understanding of human chronic pain disorders is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a high level of team spirit and pro-activity.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and to embrace change
