Harbor Health looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer - Insurance Team to become a member of our team! Harbor Health is an entirely new multi-specialty clinic group in Austin, TX utilizing a modern approach to co-create health with those who get, give, and pay for it, allowing everyone to fully flourish. Our Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for:
- Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code
- Design and develop scalable web applications with both front-end and back-end components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, designers, DevOps) to define and ship new features
- Maintain and improve existing systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
- Write and maintain technical documentation for code and systems
- Test and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience
- Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure system reliability and scalability
- Accountable for participating in and providing support for production environments
- Build and maintain integrations with third party vendors
Successful Senior Software Engineers will have:
- 3-5 years of experience in software development / data engineering
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Javascript/Typescript, or similar
- Proficiency in designing, managing, and optimizing relational database systems
- Proven experience in developing and delivering greenfield projects from concept to deployment
- Ability to act as a team player
- Ability to manage outside vendor relationship
- Have the ability to partner in the development, management and operationalizing processes and workflows to maximize efficiencies
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or relevant job experience
- This is a remote role.
Additional Skills & Experiences Preferred include:
- Strong knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions
- Experience implementing and operating delegated TPA, UM, UR, credentialing and related functions
- Experience developing and administering value-based payment arrangements is a plus
Physical Requirements of the role include:
