We are looking for software engineers who can design and implement scalable services that will enable Azure to build, manage, and secure its massive network infrastructure. You will work on cutting-edge technologies that power the cloud services of Microsoft and other customers, and you will have a direct impact on the growth and performance of Azure data centers and its network.
You will join the Azure Networking team, which runs one of the largest networks in the world, providing core network services for Azure, Bing, and other Microsoft cloud services. You will work together with other specialists in the area of distributed systems, network engineering, and security, and you will have the opportunity to learn and create in a quick and lively environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience building distributed systems

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python
• OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience
• Ability to mentor junior developers and technically lead projects
• Experience building platform services to enable safe deployment, orchestration, and change management processes
• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
• L2-L3 protocols
• Network management
• Yang modeling
• Remote Procedure Call frameworks
