THE POSITION
Join us as a Senior System Engineer at Boehringer Ingelheim and be part of our mission to shape the future of chemical synthesis!
In this role, you’ll collaborate with both chemists and IT experts, playing a key role in the digitalization of our chemical IT landscape. This position is part time eligible with 80%.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, chemistry, natural science or Bachelor’s degree with multiple years of proven working experience in a related field
- Knowledge in chemistry or curiosity to learn as well as IT knowledge and technical skills
- Hands on experiences in LIMS system configuration and development combined with the ability to seamlessly integrate with partner systems.
- Demonstrated capability to develop, maintain and apply a business, data, application and technical architecture within a functional domain
- Agile mindset driven by openness, respect and continuous learning including knowledge in agile methodologies
- Strong communication skills including the capability to create and maintain business relations and working with business partners, vendors and developersExcellent skills in English, both written and spoken. German would be a plus
Responsibilities:
- In your new role, you will foster strong relationships with business and IT partners, providing valuable solutions for the creation of modern applications and digital products.
- You will lead high complex IT initiatives from ideation to release on your own responsibility while meeting the goals regarding time, quality and cost.
- Moreover, you will be in the driver’s seat to technically design and implement solutions you developed together with your colleagues in IT based on scientists’ needs.
- You will be responsible for vendor management, ensuring effective and efficient relationships with all suppliers.By utilizing your technical expertise, you will architect and design innovative solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the organization.
