• Read, understand & trouble shoot the electrical circuit diagrams of medium voltage systems, LV system, DC Rectifier with backup system, UPS, 13.8KV MV transformers, MV/LV control systems to attend the faults.
• Safely operate the 13.8 KV Medium Voltage & Low Voltage Switchgears, Panels, Transformers Independently.
• Maintenance background of plant over all fire and safety (FACP) Detection, Ejection system and fire pump house equipment’s.
• Maintenance background of plant overhead cranes and heavy mobile equipment’s 24VDC electrical circuits.
• Initiate/Receive the work permits as per the procedure for works being carried out in the power plant.
• Carry out the SAP PM assigned task by the foreman within the target period in coordination with colleagues.
• Safe method of using appropriate power tools in MV/LV system & materials for the jobs assigned.
• To ensure that there is no wastage of material.
• Assist in identification of potential hazards and communicate the same to the seniors
• Maintain neatness and cleanliness at place of work.
• As an additional, to closely monitor the parameters of the DG sets & its auxiliaries & initiate action in case of any deviations for operation related supporting activities.
• Safety follow up as stated below:
• Importance and awaress of PPE.
• Awareness of Arc flash safety procedures.
• Awareness of Work permits, types, LOTO, FACP and method of follow up.
• Awareness of First aid during electrical shock.
  Report near misses / incidents in work area and participate in all activities relating to the removal of Electrical Hazard in the work area
