The Department of Human Resources, under the direction of the Learning & Development team, is seeking a Senior Training Associate. This position will play an integral role in the design, development, and facilitation of training programs within Baylor College of Medicine.
We are seeking an experienced learning and development professional who has a passion for designing and delivering impactful training that empowers employees to learn and develop.
The ideal candidate is a technologically savvy team player, an excellent communicator, and has the drive for technology, data, learning, and personal development. This individual should be able to deliver exceptional results in a frequently changing environment, while building strong relationships across the organization.
This position is eligible for a hybrid arrangement working in Houston, TX office.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Four years of relevant experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- Four years of training experience with demonstrated ability to facilitate and present to all levels of employees and leaders.
- Two years of experience in designing and developing instructor-led training programs
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including high degree of comfort and ability using PowerPoint and other presentation/graphics software, and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.

Responsibilities:
- Develop content and design curriculum for soft skills and Human Resource-focused training courses.
- Facilitate instructor-led training courses on a wide range of topics using traditional instructional techniques.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand needs and identify skill gaps; design and develop training plans, materials, content, and delivery methods.
- Collaborate with leaders across Baylor to continually improve the delivery methods and training content to both existing and new employees.
- Utilize multiple delivery formats including instructor-led, virtual classroom, or blended formats to deliver content and training.
- Manage the learning environment and logistics; to include coordinating training schedules, session preparation, training materials, tracking, and monitoring course attendance and course evaluations.
- Establishes metrics to analyze the effectiveness of the training programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Supports and facilitates new employee orientation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
