JOB DESCRIPTION
Allied Universal® is seeking a Site Security Supervisor in Montreal. The Supervisor will oversee site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols while fostering a productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to make quick and informed decisions, and a dedication to upholding high standards of quality and efficiency.
Title: Site Security Supervisor (Bilingual)
Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion / Montreal, QC
Position type: Permanent full-time
Salary range: 20.00 $ -22.97$
Shift: Monday to Friday
Schedule: 08:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years supervisory experience
- Must hold a valid Montreal Security Permit (MSP).
- Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
- Proficient in computer operations (Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, Internet, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of identifying and resolving problems.
- Ability to make sound decisions
- Basic financial and mathematical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external customers
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Reliable transportation to work site.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety professionals receive the necessary training to develop their technical and professional skills, including performance management activities such as coaching, counseling, discipline, performance appraisals, and recognition.
- Communicate staffing needs to department heads or recruiters, assisting in talent identification and the interviewing process.
- Advocate for employee feedback by coordinating with the Human Resources and Service Manager or the General Manager.
- Assist in distributing company policies, advertisements, and job opportunities.
- Foster a respectful work environment.
- Support the department manager in identifying and addressing customer needs effectively.
- Ensure all contractual hours are met with minimal unbilled overtime.
- Coordinate and/or lead site-specific on-the-job training, customer-specific training, and annual refresher courses for safety personnel.
- Reconcile security logs with team and patrol duties; review incident reports before submission to the Director and coordinate preliminary investigations.
- Conduct account audits and after-hours visits, completing all required documentation.
- Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles on account, ensuring proper inventory levels and maintenance checks.
- Administer site safety programs that outline specific risks for safety officers, including vehicle and driving safety, in line with company procedures.
- Prepare for attendance at various outside meetings.
- Utilize in-house system for scheduling and billing purposes, and prepare reports (such as scheduling activity reports and training details) following company procedures.
- Implement company policies as outlined in manuals and memos.
