Compensation: $75 - 95K depending on experience

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client, a high-growth personal care company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Social Media Manager to join their team. The Social Media Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic social media initiatives across a portfolio of brands to increase brand awareness, grow and engage the user base, improve marketing efforts, and increase sales. This is an exciting opportunity for an agile, innovative professional with experience in the beauty/ personal care space who loves to dig into data to identify insights and thrives in an environment of change to help the company take bold and strategic moves in a rapidly evolving industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Social Media Specialist, Strategist, or Manager in Beauty
  • Extensive experience managing content creation, social media, and market insights with an in-depth understanding of the social and digital space that targets the Canadian market
  • Experience managing internal and external shoots, and editing photos and videos
  • Experience doing audience and buyer persona research
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of key social media KPIs to analyze and report campaign performance
  • Knowledge of social media publishing tools such as Hootsuite, and other measurement tools, scheduling platforms, and analytics software
  • Proven within Beauty: Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube, and abreast of social media best practices, and regional, and global trends
  • Must be willing and available to monitor and react, when necessary, across social media platforms off-hours
  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field

Responsibilities:

The Social Media Manager will perform a diverse range of functions including but limited to:

  • Develop and implement a measurable and comprehensive organic social media strategy that supports business objectives, new innovation, and overall brand identity
  • Create and execute measurable social media plans and strategies, including influencer marketing strategies to expand brand reach and engagement
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to brainstorm and plan brand-building social content that drives engagement across all channels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies to develop compelling brand and product campaigns and publish engaging content
  • Lead the development of creative testing roadmaps, audience expansion, and targeting strategies
  • Develop and execute content calendars on a quarterly basis aligned with brand strategy and communication priorities
  • Grow the community and followers for all brands on social media through existing and new programs
  • Lead the planning and execution of content production, including organizing and managing internal and external shoots, and editing photos and videos for various social platforms, ensuring delivery within budget and on time
  • Track the competition and maintain in-depth awareness and knowledge of the latest content and trends, while brainstorming innovative content formats to continually test and learn
  • Liaise with the customer service call center to address consumer needs as they arise
  • Act as the community manager for all social accounts, ensuring timely responses to all inquiries
  • Monitor and report on social channel performance and community health metrics, and contribute to weekly reports showcasing the performance of priority social channels
  • Establish effective benchmarks for measuring and analyzing the impact of campaigns to maximize results
  • Conduct A/B testing and analyze data to optimize content performance and campaign effectiveness
  • React quickly to market trends, celebrity news, and pop culture moments with relevant and engaging content
  • Manage and curate the brand’s social content library, graphics, video assets, and the trafficking of content to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of completed assets
  • Perform audits on social performance on a rolling basis and present reports of findings and insights
  • Monitor and report regularly on product feedback, online reviews, brand sentiment, competitive KPIs, and other performance metrics or goals to analyze the performance of social channels, quantify the effectiveness of activations, and drive scalable learnings.
  • Devise and implement full-funnel strategies that drive awareness, traffic, and online/ in-store sales
  • Partner with key platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest, etc. and stay abreast of industry changes and innovation
