POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Software Developer will analyze user and customer needs to design and develop software solutions. This role involves developing, creating, and/or modifying general computer applications, designing software to optimize operational efficiency, and coding, testing, and debugging applications and programs. The Software Developer will participate in the application design of the system, develop program specifications, and ensure detailed design documentation. Additionally, this role will assist with testing, training, and preparation of operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• IAT Level: 2
• Information Assurance (IA) Certification: Sec+ (Security+) or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner)
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in COBOL, Java, Spring, HTML, XML, Unix, Oracle, SQL, SDLC, Fortify, and Configuration Management (CM).
• Software Development: Demonstrated experience in developing, creating, and modifying general computer applications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development or a related role.
• Demonstrated experience in coding, testing, and debugging applications and programs.

• Software Development: Develop, create, and/or modify general computer applications to meet user and customer needs.
• Software Design: Design software or modify existing software for customer use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
• Coding and Debugging: Code, test, and debug applications and programs to ensure functionality and performance.
• Application Design: Participate in the application design of the system, contributing to the overall architecture and design decisions.
• Program Specifications: Develop program specifications and ensure that detailed design is appropriately documented.
• Testing and Training: Assist with testing, training, and preparation of operations to ensure successful implementation and user adoption.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in COBOL, Java, Spring, HTML, XML, Unix, Oracle, SQL, SDLC, Fortify, and Configuration Management (CM) to develop robust software solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
