We are now looking for a SW Engineer to join our team at ABB Oy, Process Industries in Finland. Your role will be fitted according to your experience and knowledge from SW programming to leading a group of technical specialists in projects. When your experience grows you will have a possibility to take bigger role. Our customers are mainly in board and paper industry to whom we deliver drive and automation logics. Co-operation with customers will be an essential part of your daily work. In your role you are expected to travel approximately 30-50 days a year, mainly in Finland and Europe.
Possible locations for the position are Helsinki, Vaasa or Pirkkala where you will work in a flexible hybrid environment.
This position reports to Service Operations Manager.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Planning the technical implementations in projects towards handover taking into consideration the schedule and budget
• Taking responsibility for technical solutions and best practices during project implementation and supporting project manager and lead engineer

And when you are ready:

• Acting as the first point of contact for customers in technical matters related to the projects
• Supporting marketing, sales and project organization to ensure that all technical solutions are correct from the very beginning to the completion of the projects
• Leading a group of technical specialists in projects

Qualifications for the role:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree in engineering
• You have ability to learn and apply your expertise in paper machine drives related solutions
• Experience with ABB Automation and knowledge of industrial processes are seen as an advantage
• Strong collaboration and people skills with ease in communicating with different audiences
• Ability to work with global clients and ABB colleagues from different countries and backgrounds
• Capability to manage the big picture while acting as a technical expert and delegating tasks as needed
• Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. Other language skills are considered a benefit
