SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Skills
  • At least two years of industry experience as a full time software engineer.
  • Industry experience writing code in an object-oriented programming language.
  • Experience reviewing teammates’ code.
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey engineering-related topics to team members.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, capable of working effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment.

  • Effective problem-solving skills to analyze and debug code.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently develop, test, and deploy production code that is high-quality and correct.
  • Hold a high quality bar by reviewing teammates’ code.
  • Contribute to technical design while collaborating with more senior engineers.
  • Improve testability, operational excellence metrics, and documentation.
  • Lead small or medium sized projects in a self-directed manner, showing prioritization skills and seeking guidance when appropriate.
  • Use engineering tools to track work and communicate progress.
  • Generate appropriate documentation and take initiative to improve documentation/runbooks/etc.
  • Influence peers/manager and actively seek mentorship.
