SUMMARY
As part of Corporate Processes and Information Technology (CPIT), Strategic Central Services (SCS) oversees Corporate Processes & IT’s ongoing operations and supports SAP’s transformation to an intelligent enterprise. Our unit focuses on collaboration and operational execution of cross-topics across all CPIT and business units to serve our customers and end-users best. One of the SCS key areas is Software Asset Management (SAM).
SAM team is looking for someone who likes to work on meaningful innovative projects to help SAP run better and is willing to learn new technologies to adapt to changing technologies. As a member of the SAM Tools & Data Management (T&DM) team, you will be responsible for supporting the success of the SAM organization by managing the continuous improvements and transformation of all applications and systems that facilitate business operations.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
- University Degree in Business Informatics / Business Administration/ Computer Science / Informatics/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Engineering or an equivalent qualification with preferably 5+ years of experience.
- Strong understanding of software asset management concepts, practices, and tools.
- Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, architectures, and solutions.
- Experience in driving results in a complex, matrixed organization while maintaining collaborative partnerships.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and analyze data to inform product decisions and improvements.
- Bring a can-do mentality with the ability to make decisions and drive projects forward, even with imperfect information.
- Profound interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and writing skills in English to successfully interact with colleagues and executive management.
- Proficient user of MS Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint) and Jira.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile.
- Knowledge of Azure or SaaS Portal Management related to Software License Management.
- Good knowledge of server and virtualization technologies.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required experience
- 5+ yrs. professional work experience in IT consulting or IT services with a strong focus on operations or projects
- Preferred experience
- Experience in leading teams and developing talents.
- Work in international teams distributed across multiple time zones.
- Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC), Program, Project, or Service Management.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
As a Techno Functional Consultant in SAM T&DM team, you will:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and prioritize the requirements for the software asset management system.
- Work closely with development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams, including developers, testers, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of the software asset management system.
- Act as a subject matter expert on software asset management and related technologies, providing guidance and insights to the development teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze the performance and usage of the software asset management system, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to software asset management, and incorporate them into the product strategy and roadmap.
- Build and maintain sustainable relationships with other key stakeholders across SAP.
- Be onsite per SAP hybrid work model.
