Job Overview: Provide product and business process consulting assistance to sales team members to facilitate closing sales. Identify specific areas of prospect need and demonstrate how Concur’s applications fill those needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver product demonstrations for all applications
- Prepare to deliver product demonstrations: meet with prospects to identify their requirements, research their competitive strengths and weaknesses; reconfigure application and/or database as appropriate to best address prospect issues; ensure demonstrations are free of complications and maximize the usefulness of Concur’s applications
- Strategize with sales team members to identify strategic approach most likely to persuade prospect to buy
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Concur’s competitor’s products, company direction, financial stability, etc.; keep current with industry events, product offerings, etc.
- Provide advice and guidance to other Solutions Consultants as requested, including having new SC’s shadow activities
- Build and maintain thorough knowledge of all Concur products, upgrades, upcoming revisions, functionality, etc.
- Update Salesforce.com with client interactions (discovery & demonstration at a minimum)
- Provide input on prospect requirements/concerns to Product Marketing teams as requested
- Assist at trade shows, user conferences, etc. as requested
- Interacts with sales, marketing and external customers
- Operates under moderate supervision with reviews of work
- Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies
- Competent on delivering the Platform Message
- Baseline understanding of our technology stack (Non-STC)
- Broader Impact on immediate team (White Paper, Mentor, SME)
- Strong Cross Functional relationships (Sales, R&D, Product Marketing, Services)
- Competent, consistent application of our sales methodology (Commercial Insights, discovery to Tailor for resonance)
- Mastery of Presentation Skills (Best Run Demos for Memorable Presentations)
- Consistent contributor to deal strategy (Account Reviews, Meeting prep, Follow-up)
- Leads & identifies solutions strategy in sales campaigns (Products, Personas & Insights

Education, Experience & Training required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 6+ years’ experience as pre-sales in vendor environment for enterprise business solutions around spend management, incl. but not limited to travel & expense management, invoice management, account payable, general ledger, budget management, etc.
- Strong financial & business knowledge (SAP FI/CO).
- Advantages for those with experiences in ERP or cloud applications including finance, human resources, business planning and consolidation, project systems, etc.
- Broad business knowledge: ability to interpret and utilize industry information on competitors
- Demonstrated experience in making formal presentations including ability to quickly redesign presentations and databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check
