Description:

Virta is one of Europe’s fastest growing electric vehicle charging platforms with offices in London, Helsinki, Berlin, Stockholm, Paris, Singapore and Bucharest.
We are now looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our growing operations in the Netherlands. As a Solutions Engineer you will play a crucial role in driving our sales efforts by providing technical expertise and solution guidance to prospective clients in the e-mobility sector. You will engage our customers, both onsite and remote, in a technical consultancy and advisory role during the pre- and post-sales process devising effective end-to-end solutions and maximizing sales opportunities. You will work closely with our Sales Executives in the country.

What you’ll do

  • Solve customer software issues of broad scope and high complexity in pre- and post-sales phases
  • Educate customers on the value proposition with your knowledge of the Virta solution and associated technologies
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and discovery calls to understand prospects’ pain points, challenges, and objectives, and effectively articulate how our products or services can address their needs.
  • Build, present, and document customer solutions during pre-sales
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers during pre- and post-sales phases, providing guidance, best practices, and recommendations to help them achieve their goals and maximize the value of our products or services.
  • Initiate and deliver the best value proposition for customers, from Proof-of-Concept to showcase under technical feasibility
  • Guide technical idea evaluations, use case, RFP/audit support, and discovery workshop phases
  • Provide technical proposals, presentations, and solution for tenders and RFQs
  • Propose the technical solution and oversee the selection of technologies and products and estimate resources required to develop the proposed solution to meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Articulate alternatives in terms of cost, benefit, and risk where multiple solutions exist
  • Support sales in general sales and tender processes requiring technical expertise

Responsibilities:

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE

  • Experience with SaaS solutions, Integration architectures and Connectivity & Networks
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required (national and occasional international travel)
  • Experience in the energy industry or with Charge Point Management System (CPMS) are seen as an advantage
  • Right to work in EU
