We are now looking for a new Sourcing Manager to join our team at IEC LV Motors in Vaasa Finland. In this role, your main task is to develop, map out and implement the supply chain management plans with a focus on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability.
This position reports to SCM Manager.
The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Managing planning and tracking of sourcing activities, cost budgets, and savings forecasts
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing pricelists, terms, and conditions
• Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers in accordance with company policies.
• On-boarding new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local buyer and running regular supplier evaluations
• Providing input relating to budgets, expenditure, and savings to support forecasting by management
• Driving improvements of the supply-side quality and performance, supplier management, and product-specific audits
• Overseeing operational excellence and supplier performance, implement programs to improve KPIs, as well as ensuring compliance with various guidelines, including SOX
• Acting as a subject-matter expert related to your categories in R&D projects

Qualifications for the role:

• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree from a relevant technical or commercial field
• A few years of relevant working experience in supply chain management, procurement or similar
• Good social skills and the ability to work well in a team
• A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Technical acumen for different manufacturing methods with the willingness to learn
• Determined, capable of strategic thinking, motivated and energetic
• Fluency in English is required, other language skills are appreciated.
• Familiarity with basic IT tools such as MS Office, as well as ERP systems like SAP.
• Ability and willingness for some travel
